First leaks of Mate 30 Pro from Huawei show a larger display, additional camera and more

Although P30 and P30 Pro models are still fresh and young, seems that Huawei is up to something new again. Mate 30 Pro is rumored to be released later this year. And already today we got the first information about its features and design. However, the leaks are not confirmed yet, so maybe are too optimistic.

GSMArena has some predictions about the new device based on industry sources. According to the rumors, Huawei Mate 30 Pro will get 6.71-inch OLED display which is bigger in comparison with the previous installment — Mate 20 Pro. The fingerprint scanner will be included, but we do not know yet whether it’ll have an optical sensor as the previous model had or an ultrasonic sensor. In addition, it seems that the display will have the curved edges and will be produced by BOE.

Together with the renewed front panel, Mate 30 Pro will get the updated rear. Seems that Huawei is planning to add a huge square-shaped module for the camera just like the one we can see on Mate 20. However, this time 4 sensors are rumored. The module will include the main camera, the one for the wide-angle shots, the one with the long-focus lens and ToF camera. LED flash should be placed in the middle of the camera block.

As for the inner parts, 5G modem and next-gen Kirin 985 CPU are likely to appear in the new flagship. The model with 4G LTE may be also presented in addition and will cost less. 4200 mAh battery together with 55W SuperCharge feature will be a good addition to the brand-new chip.

As far as we know now, Huawei Mate 30 Pro is scheduled for the release in the middle of autumn. That’s why we are pretty sure that the new information will appear in summer. Hopefully, in a few weeks, we will know whether today’s rumors are correct or not.
